Spring Cleanup

A community supported cleanup of downtown, including pulling weeds, planting, scrubbing and painting. Volunteer for this annual event and help beautify our downtown!  Groups are welcome. Sponsors and volunteers are always needed!

Downtown Wine & Beer Stroll

Saturday, May 6, 2017

Wine & Beer Stroll through downtown Hollister from 1:00 - 5:00.  Participating businesses will be paired with a local winery where attendees will be poured a 1 oz. taste of wine.  Craft beer tasting will also be available at participating restaurants.  $40  To participate or for questions, contact the HDA office.

Downtown Certified Farmers' Market

Wednesdays from May 2 through September 26, 2018

Every Wednesday from 3pm - 7:30pm.  On San Benito Street, enjoy the very best in fresh produce and flowers, organic meat and poultry, specialty baked goods (including gluten-free breads), local olive oils and honey, sausages, BBQ, and so much more.  On the corner of 4th and San Benito Streets* next to the FREE parking garage, you'll find crafts and information booths, bounce house for the kids and often live entertainment!

Portuguese Festival

June 3 & 4, 2017

The SDES Portuguese Hall will host the “Queen Coronation” and dance June 3, at 9 p.m., at 695 Seventh St., followed by the parade June 4, at 10 a.m. The parade route begins at the Hall, going East on Seventh Street, North on San Benito Street and West on fifth Street to Sacred Heart Church for the 11 a.m. mass. The mass is followed by the serving of Portuguese sopas, games and auction. A dinner and dance is held at the Hall at 6 p.m. For more information, contact Anthony Silva (831)801-5584.

National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. Together, we are making that happen. Neighborhoods across the nation host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other various community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel and exhibits.

San Benito High School Homecoming Parade

TBD ♦ 2 pm

Come downtown and cheer for the students of San Benito High School in this annual parade featuring graduating class floats, clubs and athletic teams all before the Homecoming football game in the evening at Andy Hardin Field.  Parade route starts at Palmtag Drive, heading North on San Benito Street, turning West at Fifth Street and returning to the High School on Monterey Street.

28th Annual Red Ribbon Walk & Run

Saturday, October 21, 2017 ♦ 8 am, Veteran's Memorial Building

This annual event raises awareness of the dangers of drugs and alcohol in our community while benefiting prevention efforts in our local schools. Community members and families are encouraged to participate and have FUN!
